Getting Fit!

Wii Fit that is!

I have to give some air time to this commercial because one of my aunts was the art director for it. It's pretty freaking cool if I say so myself!

The music is great, the angles are amazing, and it does a great job at showing all the different things that can be done playing the game. It's not just a yoga board! My aunt got to try it out while filming the commercial and she said that while you're playing you don't really realize all the muscles you are using. But the next day you can totally feel it.

Boyfriend came home with it last night! I'm very excited to go home and get set up with my Wii trainer! I think this will be great. It's like having a trainer come to your house as much as you want, but you only have to pay for him once!

If any one has any suggestions please feel free to clue me in. They don't have to be California based either. Anything in the Pacific Time Zone will work just fine. Heck I'd even read about people in Hawaii!

Better Late Than Never

The networks replay this commercial for military holidays year round, but every time it makes me tear up. No matter how we feel about the military actions around the world, we have to give thanks to those that are sacrificing their everyday lives to serve our country.

I casually watched the first season of Army Wives and I think a strong theme was that the women are married to the Army first and their husbands second. And that is the life that they choose to live.

A friend of mine, A. is an Air Force wife. Her husband B. was deployed to Iraq with the Army around two years ago and was there for a year. Right before B left A gave birth to their 2nd child. So he missed a lot, first steps, first words, first Christmas. But when B came home A got a group of friends and family together to welcome him home at the airport.

B came out in his fatigues and A hugged him and cried and cried and cried. Then they brought the kids over and B started to cry, holding his daughter for the first time in a year, while his son was wrapped around his leg. When he stepped away an older man that was coming out of the gate came over to shake B's hand and thanked him. There was even an Asian tourist that was filming the whole thing with his camera phone.

It was an honor to be a part of that.

Once again, this isn't a blog about a commercial but Boyfriend requested that I give this guy some press.

It is a hilarious "review" of the Sex in the City movie.

Now don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I can totally see where this guy is coming from.

When my gaggle of girls went to get in line to enter the theater I didn't think the line we were in could be right because there were way too many guys in it. But I guess where I live there are a lot of guys that "spontaneously grew a uterus" (you'll get it when you read the post).

Snicker Snicker

Now most of the Snickers commercials I could give or take, but this one caught my eye! I was playing the Sims (which normally takes all my concentration) with the tv on and that commercial made me stop (well, pause) what I was doing and watch. And then I laughed so hard!

It was the combination of the strange characters calling the Robin Hood character "unusual" and the Robin Hood guy riding away on a vespa type thing.

I'm not so sure that it makes me want a snickers, but it definitely got my attention!

Side note: I just realized that this is one of three (if not more) posts about candy. Does that mean that I like candy? Are there more candy ads than other types? Or are candy ads just better than all the rest?
