I've been trying to find another commercial that sparks my interest and I don't know if the DVR is slowing me down or if commercials kinda stink right now.
This one is a little older but still very good:
I could have found the actual commercial but the boy is just too cute on the Ellen show. Looks like he's put on a few pounds though, doesn't he? Just kidding, I'm sure he's a growing boy and has just been drinking a lot of milk.
Anyways, I like the commercial because it calls attention to the little habits that we make while we are young and haunt us the rest of our lives.
I especially enjoy the clip of him playing video games while his dog looks longingly at him. I happen to be addicted to the computer game The Sims and my dog knows exactly how that commercial dog feels. But lucky for him my computer recently took a dump and I've had plenty of time to pay attention to Mr. Spikers!

And now a word from a fellow blogger
If you look over to the right you will find my list of favorite blogs. The one written by the dad is one of my top favs and the following is written by him.
~"I think this world is perfect...": Random Frozen Plug, For Bees~
I trust his judgement and had to at least give the ice cream a try. I did a lengthy search and finally found it and I have to say, it is quite enjoyable. Boyfriend almost ate the whole pint himself, but I wouldn't have that. It's a nice soft vanilla flavor with just a hint of honey. But oddlly enough when you're eating it the feeling in your mouth is like when you eat honey. I don't know if that makes sense, but every one must try it.

Shalom
Well Passover started yesterday, and although I am not Jewish I have great respect for those that are and in honor of their holiday here is a clip of a show instead of a commercial
Rabbi Shmuley is great! And his name is fun to say.
Where I work there is a temple near by so I get to see all the Jewish people walking by in their finest Jewish attire. Their kids are adorable as well!
Shalom to all!

Shipments
This commercial has to be one of my absolute favorites. It makes me laugh so hard each and every time I see it. Not only because it shines the light on how geographically stupid some Americans are these days, but just the way the guy falls and then reaches up to grab some more of the map. Oh wow, the best!
And once again you know exactly what the commercial is for. Fedex is expanding their shipping capabilities.
In other news this is my plan for when I get home from work:
1) Feed Spike (my adorable seven year old English bulldog)
2) Start laundry (if I want clean panties to wear tomorrow, had to wear the grannies today because I am so lazy)
3) Poop walk Spike
4) Drop off Spike at home and go speed walking (Spike does not get the idea of speed walking because he has to pee on absolutely everything and he would probably pass out less than 1/2 way through the walk and I'd then be doing 50 lbs weight lift walking)
5) Make dinner for myself since Boyfriend will be working late once again. (I hate tax season)
And on another note:
me: I think that you should write a daily blog on blogger about whatever (sports or music probably)and i think if you were committed to it and making it good you could get recognition for it
Boyfriend: i dont know if i could do that daily there are days when nothing happens
me: ok weekly then
Boyfriend: weekly maybe
me: lol jinx that's how things get started these days....it's kind of the american idol show for writers little guys writing and one person notices and then a crowd does and then one of those people in the crowd is a publisher or whatever and wants to sponsor your ride to stardom
Boyfriend: you mean a myspace blog or separate blog?
me: seperate blog myspace is for rookies
blogger/blogspot
Boyfriend: ok
me: yea!!!!!!!!!!! my boyfriend is going to be famous!
Boyfriend: well lets not shop for red carpet dresses yet babe...
I just thought that convo was funny and well written. Sorry I left some of our gayness in there to make you all vomit a little.

Brainwashing

After long thought I've decided that this blog's theme is going to be around tv commercials. Oddly enough in the day and age of tivo and dvr I still love good commercials. This may have something to do with some of my family members being involved in the advertising industry and seeing the creativity and art that goes into making good commercials.
I'm that girl at the party that says "You know that commercial that has such and such and does the thing." And of course no one else knows what I'm talking about. But thanks to sites such as youtube.com I can share the commercials that are worth while.
The commercial that is dignified enough to get mentioned first is the new WAMU commercial promoting their Whoo Hoo campaign. It isn't on YouTube.com yet so you'll have to use your imagination. He walks in and talks to the attendant about how his account was over drawn and she says no to worry because he has a savings account with them. And he starts to imagine being worry free and he's on the floor in some type of furry sweat suit and he looks up and there is a puppy with a sign saying "whoo hoo" around his neck. It pans out and there are puppies every where and the man is just giggling!
I loved it! It automatically made me think of my best friend K because she always says that she wants a puppy farm. She would walk outside and all the puppies would run to her! Oh how she wishes she could have been in that commercial.
See that is what a commercial is supposed to do, get your attention and make you remember it. I even remembered what it was advertising.
More of my favorites are to come!
