I had a light bulb moment just now. Every once in a while I'll think about how it seems that the rate of cheating in relationships has gone up. I don't know if it is actually true. I haven't done any statistical studies or anything but for the purpose of my light bulb moment I'm going to say that it has.

My thought is now that people cheat because they have few other interests or hobbies that they are passionate about. Now I believe that this could be discredited because a lot of different types of people cheat.

One story comes to mind. A friend's boyfriend was going out of the country for several weeks and one of her coworkers said that it was basically unavoidable that he was going to cheat on her while she was away. Yea......

So this leads me to think, why would sex with someone besides your partner be the first thing on your mind when you are in a new country with all the sites to see, food to eat and culture to enjoy? And then why would it be your first thought when you're at home when you could read a good book, watch a good movie, make delicious food, enjoy the outdoors, go out with friends, shop, etc etc.

Maybe that's just me and my strong moral character :) but people need to get some hobbies!
