It is one of M&M's new commercials for their M&M inside you campaign. A big purple M&M is in the laundry mat and her contact flies out. She holds her big gloved hand over her eye and says "nobody move, my contact just came out." and an actual human sitting nearby reading, points and says "is that it?" She doesn't even look up from her book because the M&M contact is that big! The M&M grabs the contact and pops it back in just as her other one pops out and she does the same routine and the lady points without looking up once again.
I think it's hilarious! M&M is doing well at joining the rest of us in the 2000s. Although in my opinion M&M shouldn't have to do too much marketing because they will always be a staple in my diet. But I suppose the kids these days have so much to choose from that they need some brightly colored talking candy to convince them to purchase.
This commercial came up in conversation this past weekend. (I told you that I'm that girl that talks about commercials like everyone watches tv as much as I do, and not just stuff recorded on DVR either.) Everyone laughed after my reenactment. I'm not sure if the credit should go to the advertising company for the idea or to me for my performance.
I'll vote for the latter.
